Alongside the enjoyable ambience, picturesque surroundings, and an array of new cars, The Washington, D.C. Auto Show provided various supplementary activities for WANADA members. Attended by tag & title processers from WANADA dealerships, the seminar concentrated on ensuring proper document processing, fostering inter-jurisdictional coordination, and enhancing administrative efforts.
January 25, Thursday
On Thursday, January 25th, the 2024 WANADA Member Reception took place, generously sponsored by BG Crovato Products & Services and The Kirvan, Pierce, Sweeney Group. Numerous dealers and industry affiliates seized the opportunity to explore the show floor and engage in networking with their peers. Of particular note were the displays from Tesla and Lucid, as both direct-to-consumer EV brands chose to participate in the show. Show chairman Bob Biagi of Ourisman Automotive of Virginia expressed the positive impact of having these brands represented, stating, “It’s good for the show to have these brands represented, demonstrating to those non-participating OEMs what they are missing out on.” The Tesla Cybertruck and Lucid Air emerged as crowd favourites, highlighting the significance of showcasing new and innovative products to the buying public at an event like the auto show.
Further panel-led conversations, intimate fireside discussions, and keynote presentations sustained the emphasis on electric vehicles, catering specifically to consumers, manufacturers, and the cutting-edge technologies steering the industry forward. The day concluded with the unveiling of the 2024 Best Cars for the Money awards by U.S. News & World Report, accompanied by significant reveals from Toyota, Rolls-Royce, and Aston Martin within the automotive industry. These events set the stage for the evening VIP Sneak Peek event preceding the main show.
