I don’t do pizza the vegetarian way- I like my chicken and I like making a feast of it- probably self-explanatory why the Chicken Feast Pizza caught my eye the minute I saw it around. Domino’s really threw in their gauntlet with the Chicken Feast Pizza, but is it just another pizza with some chicken thrown on top? Well, I am not going to answer that for you yet, not before discovering the flavour profiles, the nutrition and calorie count. Let’s get on with the journey through our latest pick for pizza- the Chicken Feast, and decipher if it really is a “feast” for your mouth.
1. What makes the chicken feast pizza different from the rest?
Is it the secret marinade? The unique sauce combination? We’ll uncover the secrets behind the deliciousness that you get the minute it gets on your taste buds. There were recognizable bits of chicken and mushroom on my first order and the toppings had a certain pizazz that I could not place my finger at yet. The second bite around, I found my company in a sweetcorn topping, which offered a bright spot and blended into a uniform flavour landscape. The pizza of my dreams, oh I have finally found thee! 3. Can the Chicken Feast pizza handle the heat against other Domino’s Pizzas?
To truly assess its fiery throne potential, we’ll need to unleash the spice-o-meter and compare it to Domino’s other chicken contenders. Get ready for a battle royale of flavour and heat!
The Challengers
- Spicy Pepperoni Passion Chicken- A double threat combining classic pepperoni kick with extra mozzarella cheese. Can it pack a double punch?
- Hot & Spicy Beef Pizzat: The pizza has all-ground beef, onions, green and red peppers, and green jalapeños. The heat is real and we are in for it!
- Ranch BBQ Chicken- A sweet and spicy fusion, balancing tangy BBQ with creamy ranch. Does it offer a unique heat experience?
The Arena
- Heat Level: Is the Chicken Feast Pizza a gentle simmer or a full-blown inferno? Does it build heat gradually or hit you right away?
- Flavor Profile: How does the “feast” part translate to the spice? Does it offer complex flavours alongside the heat, or is it more one-dimensional?
- Overall Satisfaction: Does the heat complement the chicken and other toppings, or does it overpower them? Does it leave you wanting more, or is it just too much to handle?
The Verdict
It’s Domino’s, really, how can Domino’s go wrong with pizza? Sure, the Spicy Pepperoni or the Hot and Spicy Beef Pizza did their deed as a flavoured pack of goodness, but I cannot ignore the Chicken Feast Pizza in its simplicity and nutritious flavour profile.
4. To Feast or Not to Feast- That is The Question
The Chicken Feast Pizza has graced the Domino’s menu, claiming to be a mouthful of heaven. But is it all hype, or does it deserve a permanent spot on your next order? The sweetcorn felt out of place at first sight but certainly gave it the crunch it desperately needed. The 11.5″ medium Chicken Feast was not too spicy, that is unless you add hot and spicy toppings like green jalapeno, but did not fall bland either. The chicken was definitely juicy and succulent- absolutely no hint of it being rubbery, even when the last slice fell cold.
