It was at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show that the Ferrari 360 Spider was unveiled. It was built keeping in mind the style of a convertible, with a retractable roof. It has similar specifications and performance metrics as Modena.

Race Models Of Ferrari 360

360 challenge

The Ferrari 360 Challenge was a special race-focused version of the 360 Modena road car. It was designed for Ferrari’s one-make racing series called the Ferrari Challenge. This model was made specifically for racing and had features like an automated manual transmission, improved acceleration, aerodynamics, and braking.

It had enhancements from Brembo racing, Bosch ABS software, and a lighter exhaust system. Ferrari made less than 200 of these cars, and buyers had to enter them into the Ferrari Challenge race series. Unlike previous Challenge series, the 360 Challenge was a factory-built track car with better performance than the regular 360 Modena despite having a similar engine.

360 N-GT

The Ferrari 360 N-GT was a special race car designed for the N-GT category in the FIA GT Championship. It was the fastest version of the Ferrari 360 for sale, producing over 540 horsepower and reaching a top speed of 310 km/h. It could accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in about 3 seconds. The car continued racing in the 2003 Nations Cup Championship, finishing 2nd, and made its final appearance in the 2003 Bathurst 24 Hour race, retiring on lap 287.

360 GT

The Ferrari 360 GT is a special racing version of the 360 Modena designed by Ferrari for competition in the FIA N-GT class. It was created in collaboration with Michelotto Automobili. Team JMB Giesse used these cars in the 2001 FIA GT Championship season and won the N-GT Cup for Drivers and Teams.

Between 2002 and 2004, Ferrari made and sold 20 units of the 360 GT to customers through their Corse Clienti department. The car featured a 3.6-liter V8 engine with 430 horsepower, a significant improvement over the 360 Challenge cars.

To make it lighter and faster, various weight reduction measures were taken, such as lightening the wiring and using carbon fiber for components like doors and the front compartment lid. The 360 GT’s overall weight was 91 kg less than the 360 Challenge cars, totaling 1,070 kg. To meet regulations, ballast was added to bring the weight back up to the limit of 1,100 kg.

360 GTC

The Ferrari 360 GTC was created to replace the older 360 GT model. It was built from 2004 onward by Ferrari in collaboration with Michelotto Automobili for racing in the N-GT class. Weighing 1,100 kg (2,425 lb) with ballast, it featured a six-speed sequential gearbox and improved electronics. The car’s aerodynamics were updated from the 360 GT, incorporating elements from the Challenge Stradale. Notably, the rear wing system was redesigned for better vertical downforce.

The 3.6 L V8 engine’s performance was enhanced for improved fuel efficiency. In 2009, a privately owned Veloqx-Prodrive Racing 360 GTC competed in endurance races globally, achieving success. The GTC’s power output was 479 PS (352 kW; 472 hp), surpassing the 360 GT’s 451 PS (332 kW; 445 hp).
